A unique Young Adult Retreat, led by one of our new Retreat Leaders, Jeff Klein! Though he's new to us, he brings with him many years of campus ministry experience! The world values power, self-fulfillment, being rich, accumulating stuff. As we enter this Outdoor Contemplative Retreat on “The Beatitudes For Life,” invite God, our Creator, the giver of all gifts, to be present “with” you during this time of “noticing,” of “being” with Him in all that surrounds you.
Consider thanking God for the breath you are taking walking the grounds: the breeze against your face; the sun radiating energy gifting you warmth; the ground, grass, dirt, cedar chips under your feet. Through the eight Beatitudes, we will explore what brings true joy. Once again, we will put you in a Position to change your vision and invite you to look through a new lens in order to be happy (blessed), merciful, willing to offer peace, clean of heart, and meek. We will Ponder ways to bring the Beatitudes into our day-to-day circumstances. And we will Pray and converse with God speaking, listening, and considering His natural creation while recognizing our areas of resistance to an invitation from Him on this walk.
We will observe social distancing measures to keep you safe, but that will not prevent us from socializing and walking with one another in faith.
Jeff Klein will be the Retreat Leader for this retreat. He worked in Catholic campus ministry for 17 years before becoming a stay-at-home dad, now living in Delaware County, PA, with his wife Elisa and their twins Nola and Rooney.
Each Outdoor Contemplative retreat has a specific “Prayer Gear GuideTM” designed for that outing with prayer prompts to guide you in your time of silent reflection. There will be an extended amount of time to walk the grounds, rest, contemplate, regroup and to share if inclined with fellowship.
