Come join us as we take some time out of our busy schedules to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature with the God who created you! This casual meetup event, led by Peak founder Heather Makowicz, is for anyone 18 and over who likes the outdoors and is looking to connect with others. At beautiful Marsh Creek State Park, we begin the day with each person exploring an individual intention, and then we take the physical journey together.
After the hike, as an optional part of the day, all involved are welcome to join Heather in paddle boarding on Marsh Creek Lake! Click here for information on paddle board rentals, which include a life jacket and basic instruction. *All equipment rental, reservation, and purchases should be done directly with the rental company; Peak will not be making reservations or collecting money.
There is NO CHARGE for this event, but registration is required by June 1 so we know who is coming, and to keep you informed of all necessary details. For those who can give, we welcome free will offerings that will help offset the costs of our nonprofit organization's mission to create high-quality events for young adults.
Masks will be required for certain portions of this event when we are sitting together as a group, but will be optional for the hike itself.
Heather Makowicz is a certified spiritual director, retreat director, and therapist who founded Peak Encounter Ministries to invite people, especially young adults, to experience God in nature. She coined Peak’s motto: “Through Creation, the Creator and Created meet.”
